The authorities here decided to start preparing for the coming Plastic Treaty meeting.

So far they are building up a scientific base for their position.

My apologies to Alexey.  I have just read the original email properly and see it is not a scam.  There were some questions about this from our members due to some odd text in the petition, so I felt compelled to ask.  I am onto it now. 

I sent it to some scientist colleagues, I think an alternate letter would be even stronger.
